I've been riding motorcycles since I was 8 years old. Starting with stripped Honda street machines tearing up horse pastures in upstate NY...to the two rides I have now in Iowa (a '51 pan/shovel and an '07 FLHT), I've owned and ridden a ton of motorcycles in those 40+ years. I usually put on over 20,000 miles a year, but it's hard to say for sure 'cause the '51 doesn't have an odometer.

I've been working (for little or no pay) in motorcycle rights for 12 years (but who among us is getting rich doing this kind of work?) I've held many positions in ABATE of Iowa including, State Newsletter Editor and Assistant State Coordinator. I am currently working with ABATE of Nebraska as State Webmaster, State Newsletter Editor and "Keeper of the State Email Alert List".

I've lobbied for motorcycle issues in Des Moines, Iowa - Lincoln, Nebraska - and Washington D.C. I've spoke at ABATE Lobby Days in Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and West Virginia. I've worked on countless US Senate and US Representative campaigns along with working Presidential Campaigns for Ross Perot, Steve Forbes and G.W. Bush (had a pic taken with him in the first campaign). My writings have been published in "Easy Rider", "Biker" & "Bikes & Babes" along with countless "Letters to the Editor". I've met Peter Fonda, G. Gordon Liddy, G.W. Bush, Billy Lane, Cory Ness and Indian Larry...just to name a few.

Being I'm a high-school drop-out and basically self-taught, I ain't the smartest person out there - but I try to make up for it with hard work and dedication. I have a personal relationship with all of my elected representatives in Iowa...they know me and I know them. I write both Des Moines and Washington D.C. on a regular basis...to thank them when they do something right and spank them when they do something wrong.
