Senator Corker skewered by UAW

Posted by: Renegade

I am going to link an article below which talks about how terrible it is that a U.S. Senator from the Great state of Tennessee has offered a reasonable plan to the UAW folks representing workers from GM and Chrysler, they rejected the concessions that the workers would have to make, and he voted against their “bail out”.

There has been very little in Sen. Bob Corker’s time in the Senate that I have agreed with. He and his staff know this. They finally got so tired of our input relative to his support for the Patriot Act that they succumbed by sending me a letter saying “Well, you will just have to put up with it through Sen. Corker’s six year term and see what happens then.”

However, I absolutely support Bob Corker’s position in these discussions concerning the bail out of these companies. We cannot and should not allow the Fed, the White House or anyone else commit the earnings of our offspring to their blunderous attempts at filling their pockets.

The Fed has caused this debacle! Get rid of the Fed, bring back our free market system, get rid of the Fiat money machine, commit our resources to caring for our own country instead of every other shit hole piece of earth out there and this would all dissipate.

The “right to starve” state Sen. Bob Corker looks after has already given the foreign auto makers their “bailout” in county/state/federal tax breaks an backroom deals that amounted to land give aways to build their auto plants down south. To demand a work force to join the “race to the bottom” an ask men an women who have been making an honest living an paying their fare share of taxes is insane. Why not put the energy into getting the workers in the “right to starve” states wages brought up to a higher level an have the foreign auto makers pay back all the “breaks” they recieved while the big three were paying their government taxes an employing millions of american workers.

General Motors is getting close to going bankrupt and to being liquidated. Ineptitude and greed of its management, its board, and its union are finally catching up with the former king of the automotive industry.
